Legislative power in India is exercised by the Parliament,
a legislature consisting of the President of India and the two houses of
Parliament. The image above shows the parliament building ( Sansad Bhavan). However, when one
looks at the building a feeling arises at times that there might be something
architecturally incomplete in the building. Perhaps the designer had a second
phase of construction in mind. This author tried to imagine what it might be
and came up with the following design. It is a preliminary attempt and if ever
taken up the dimensions of the dome may be re-examined. Recently members of
parliament have expressed the need for more space too. Such an addition would
provide the extra space as well as make the Parliament House design more
compatible with other surrounding building in the capital.
It seems just the tip of the dome is already there, a very broad hint left by the designer for the present change whenever feasible.

The fact that this modification was intended seems apparent if one looks at another building by same designer near it. Withholding the completion of the Parliament building by colonial rulers seems may be because of withholding democracy from a colony. Indians must now restore this symbol of democracy to its full glory
